The range of EUROPA Large Capacity Manual and CNC lathes are built to handle the demanding and latest tough materials used in a variety of industries including, Oil, Gas, Petro-Chemical, sub-sea and marine, aerospace, energy and renewables and subcontracting to name a few. Manual and CNC models starting from 880mm dia swing over the bed and increasing to over 3500mm dia swing (on request). Bed lengths are available upto 12,000mm between centres.

The Europa MH Lathes are constructed with the 3/4 ways on top of the machine bed, and a lower way is also available for carriage support of large turning applications. Having additional ways allows the Apron to ‘turn’ through the steadies in a single pass. The Apron/carriage uses the front set of ways, the Tailstock and Steadies use the rear set of ways.

The EUROPA range of large capacity lathes provide solutions from 1500mm to 12,000mm between centres. 2 shear bedway design plus front lateral support for carriage/apron under cutting.

The Alpha 1760XS can now be specified with a centre distance from 1500mm upto 6000mm and is fitted with a high powered 18.5kW motor and a 105mm spindle bore with an extra large bore option of 155. Heavy duty lathe that fits neatly between the Alpha 1550XS and the super heavyweight 2800XS allowing the flexibility to turn larger components than usual.
