HACO GSX Guillotine Shears
Hydraulics and Mechanism
HACO GSX Guillotine shear range features a distinctive drive mechanism. Top-mounted cylinders power these shears. The hydraulic system ensures reliability and control. It includes a motor pump group and a multifunction manifold block. You easily access these at the machine’s side. Flexible hoses connect cylinders, hold-downs, and pumps. Two high-pressure relief valves protect hold-downs. They also protect the cutting cycle from overload. An oversized oil tank facilitates trouble-free, high-production shearing. The ram’s parallelism control uses a differential principle. Roller bearings guide the beam on hardened ways. This contributes to precise operation.
Control System:
The GSX shears are standard with the advanced SC200 controller. This control unit earns praise for its user-friendliness. Notably, it requires no specific training to operate. Its icon-based programming offers clear display architecture and creating a program is quick and easy. The SC200 provides personalised access codes with different rights. Furthermore, it comes pre-equipped for remote support.
A key benefit of the SC200 is its automatic setting capabilities. You simply enter the sheet thickness. The control then automatically adjusts the blade gap and cutting angle. This intelligent automation cuts thin materials at a lesser angle. This significantly minimises deformation of the sheared plate. You can, however, manually modify all parameters if needed. Two hydraulic cylinders precisely manage the electro-hydraulic blade gap adjustment.
Material Handling and Operator Interface For material handling, the GSX Series features hydraulic hold-downs. They operate independently of shearing pressure. This allows accurate clamping of plates with varying dimensions. Hold-downs are arranged more closely on both sides. This facilitates cutting small plates without issues. All operator controls are conveniently located. They sit at the left-hand side of the machine. Operators find them within immediate reach. A movable foot pedal control also enhances operational flexibility.
Backgauge and Production Efficiency :
The motorised backgauge on the GSX Series assures precise sheet positioning. It comprises two rigid arms containing guides and ball screws, which also includes a parallel adjustable backgauge bar. The SC200 control allows for programmable positioning, whilst a digital read-out displays both actual and programmed positions. Lateral movement from front to back is a standard feature and the powered backgauge typically offers a 1000 mm stroke.
A unique advantage of the GSX range is its fully open rear side which provides flexibility for easy material removal and allows you to adapt various conveying and stacking systems, improving production output. There are optional features that can further enhance production like a hydraulic sheet support system which perfectly gauges thinner sheets. It prevents damage or deformation during cutting process.
The HACO GSX Guillotine Shears ‘all-welded’ interlocked construction makes the machine virtually indestructible.
