The square benches are available with a diagonal open under frame (2500), for standing/seated work and wheelchair access or; cupboard (2133H) version that allows storage space for each working place. |
| These benches are available with a choice of 4 tops:- |
| Solid Beech (B) |
| Reversible Well (W) |
| Timberedged (T) or |
| Linoleum (C) |
| Benches are available 1200 x 1200mm square and the W, T and C tops also available in a smaller size. |

| As an option, each bench can be fitted with upto 4 woodwork vices. To add further versatility a 3” mechanics vice mounted on a 300 x 300mm tray that slot into the woodwork vice is also available. This can be neatly stored on the open framed series by the option of vice pad racks. |

| The four place square bench design provides basic stability. The flat top has wide beech sideboards giving hardwearing quality where it is needed. |

| The benches can be fitted with a choice of tops to suit a variety of applications. The basic top is identified by a letter prefix to the frame number. Thus a solid beech topped diagonal railed bench would be B2500. |
| Bench Tops | |
| B Top | Solid beech makes a near ideal working surface because it is hard wearing and resilient. This top is made from 500mm kiln dried steamed beech. Substantial battens beneath the end grain edges maintain flatness, while allowing for the natural movement in the width of the top. |
| T Top | A heavy duty flush top with economy, 140mm wide solid beech edges bonded all round a heavy centre panel. |
| W Top | Features a reversible centre tray, which can be turned to give a flat top. The sideboards are 250mm wide solid beech ideal for woodwork. The central space is easily adapted to storage, racking and services provision. |
| C Top | For medium duty, 3.2mm linoleum top with beech lipping. The low cost resilient surface is suitable for writing and is ideal for electronics and light craftwork. |

| Frame Types | |
| 2500 | The diagonal under frame manufactured from 75mm beech draw bolted for rigidity. This under frame allows for standing seated work and also gives access for wheelchair users. |
| 2133 | The original EMIR 4 place bench frame. The regular under frame is draw bolted to legs from 75mm beech giving great rigidity. |
| 2133H | The under frame is enclosed to provide 4 cupboards, 1 opening on each face. Locks can be fitted to each cupboard for extra security with the option of master setted. |
